In my experience truly popular people are extraordinarily nice.  They are well-rounded, wonderful people.  Athletic, reasonably attractive, super intelligent, and so sweet they would try to help anybody.  This is why they are popular, and -everybody- likes them.  There has been one of these people (always female, for some reason) at almost every single school I've gone to.  Cho seems like this sort of person to me.  <br>
There are a lot of people, however, who are liked by many people and also hated by many, who are also labeled as popular.  These people generally do think they are the center of the world, and are loud, mean, and obnoxious.  There are many more of these than there are of the truly wonderful popular people.  These people seem to be pretty (especially through use of hair and make-up), definately not astoundingly intelligent, not nice unless they get something good in return (and even then...), and....stuck-up.  I really don't think Cho is one of these people.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that Cedric wouldn't be dating Cho if this were the case.  Right now, I think that people who bash her for being popular are leaping to conclusions and doing a great disservice to her (and themselves.)

Well no way is it going to be cho. After what happened in the 5th I don't think he's ever going to talk to her again. I bet JK is gonna surprize us in someway or another. He'll probably fall in love with his long-lost cousin or something.
