A SPECIAL LETTER FROM HERMIONE

Harry stared out of his window. He could feel the cool crisp breeze as it whipped past his face. He petted his owl, Hedwig and then climbed into bed before Aunt Petunia screamed at him for tiptoeing around in the dead of night. Harry was a wizard, and a very well known wizard in deed. He was actually the most popular wizard in the whole world. Almost everyone knew his name. For he was the one who survived, “You-Know-Who’s wrath!” And even though Harry though of himself as just a regular teenage boy, there was much much more to him then he expected. Harry was to attend his 5th year at, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And he was more excited then ever to get away from this muggle house of torture. He hated his Uncle and Aunt, for they were the most cruel and selfish people he had ever met. They treated Harry as if he were no more then apiece of garbage lying on the floor.
Harry was almost sure that when his birthday came around, he wouldn’t get more then a piece of grapefruit and a pair of Uncle Vernon’s old socks. But Harry was quite used to that type of treatment. The memories of Hogwarts and his friends kept Harry together when he was feeling down and blue. But Harry’s adventures were just about to begin...
“Harry,” Called Aunt Petunia. “You have something in the mail. Get off of your lazy butt and get it...NOW.”
Harry was thrilled to receive a message from anyone these days. Cause his uncle wouldn’t usually let him have anything that arrived from another wizard. Uncle Vernon hateD wizards. But Harry, to excited to care what anyone thought, grabbed the letter and started to read it aloud,

Dear Harry:
Hello, how have you been? My family and me are doing great. I have been studying ALL summer long. What about you? I hope so, especially because this year we are not going to wait until the LAST moment to catch up. Last year you and Ron barely passed! I on the other hand, made excellent marks and got 80%’s or higher on ALL of my tests. But I am not looking forward to Divination classes this year! *Ugh* Well I better stop writing, cause I am going to write Ron a letter now and ask him if he would like to go shopping for our school supplies with me. Oh Harry, by the way, would you like to come with us? It would be so cool if you could! Meet Ron & I at 8:00am on the last day of summer holidays! I am hoping that you are well. Oh and Harry, if anything should go wrong this year, please don't take it into your own hands. (That’s what teachers are for)

P.S. I got my hair cut! Love, Hermione

Harry looked at the letter over and over to see if she had a return address on it. But it didn’t quite matter cause in a few weeks him; Hermione and Ron would be together again for their 5th year at the best wizardry school in the world! Harry quite vividly remembered the previous years at Hogwarts, and what type of trouble he had gotten Hermione and Ron into.
“Hey, give that to me pip-squeak,” bellowed Dudley. His FAT muggle cousin, whom Harry despised. Dudley reached for the letter with one hand and hit Harry over the head with the other. Harry was knocked to the ground, but quickly got up and grabbed the letter just before Dudley could crumple it up and throw it away. Harry ran to his bedroom and hid the letter from Hermione, under a loose floorboard under his bed. it was safe...for now.

(Okie dokie.......that was a start! I hope you all liked it) I will make a second half sometime this week okay! Ja Ne
