Does anyone else think that JK Rowling was a little biased in her writing? I mean, she makes Gryffindor the best house there is, make everyone in Slytherine automatically evil, and doesn't go anywhere into Huff or Ravenclaw, except for Cho and Cedric. She makes Seeker seem like the best position ever, and guess what? Harry does it all! He is the hero and all, but he doesn't have to do EVERYTHING! Oooh, this makes me really mad! *calms down a little* So, anyone else share my opinion?

Well, this is Harry's story. As for the glorification of Gryffindor and seekers, that's because Harry is a Gryffindor and a seeker, and we are seeing through his eyes. As for Harry doing everything, I think he symbolizes the dream of a trapped kid- and a trapped kid does tend to become a real star in the dreams of said kid. He's just getting to live the dreams for real, which is wonderful!
Also, Mrs. Rowling thinks of herself as a Ravenclaw. ^_^ She's not glorifying Gryffindor for herself.

I realise that JK can't go on about Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff that much, but i still ish she would stop glorifying Harry. Couldn't he be bad at something which is fame inducing?

She did say she would love to be a Gryff, but she's more of a Ravenclaw. I agree with your there. Harry is a seeker, the main player in Quidditch. Chaser's play the entire game, trying to score, having bludgers thrown at them, whilst all seeker's do is look around for some gold ball. Not enough for 150 points if you ask me.

I knwo he's the hero and all, but he doesn't have to do everything! I mean, I'm writing a story where the hero dies! Let somebody else have the fame!!!!!!

Well, it doesn't exactly say that Seeker is the best position ever... we just assume that it is because Harry is a seeker and Harry is the hero. But I agree, Harry is TOO perfect and the other houses deserve a bit more attention.

Oliver did say seeker is te most important position. It's the most important one because it scores the most points, but it doesn't mean that it the best one... right?

It does say that Seeker is the most coveted position in quidditch. Besides, Chaser is the best position by far!

Chaser is the best. I think there should be more importance on the other houses. Harry is too perfect.

JK is glorifying Harry too much... but then again, the books are titled HARRY POTTER and the blah blah blahs. So everything's from Harry's POV. I wish that there is an occasion that Harry sucks royally at something! He's lil mr perfect(i know he's not perfect but he is a yuppie)! And Gryffindor's like this perfect house, Ravenclaws the nerd planet and Hufflepuff is the loserville. I don't mind Slytherin being the evil hse.. it's what makes them way cool. She could have writen something remarkable about the othe houses though...everything's so harry harry harry, gryffindor gryffindor gryffindor. But still, HP books are the best so open mouth insert foot.
