I don't appreciate you laughing at me Jaheira.
No, I have never heard that before. I asked all of my friends and family, and none of them had heard of this except one. She said that she'd heard of it, but she doesn't buy it. I have lived in five states across the country, and I have NEVER heard of ANYONE who does this.
My hair is NOT dry and brittle, and none of theirs looks to be, either.
I am 20 years old.

True not everyone knows it, but it is true. If you wash it every day just about without fail and have done for years than how can you tell if it's brittle or not. When hair is it's healthiest it should be soft, silky and maybe shine, I don't mean like on the shampoo ads though. Greasy hair is quite sleek, there is a bit of separation of strands and it feels kind of flat and yuck. I suggest you go a week without washing your hair and take a lot of notice of what it does but then if you wash it everyday and have done for a while it might take a fortnight for any real difference. The idea might freak you out but it's not like it's dirty and no one real notices that much anyway if it's greasy or not.

I think I'll leave my hair brittle. I've gone a day without washing before, and the hair at the top of my head gets really greasy and nasty. It's also noticable, because it turns that part of my hair dark blonde. Then the rest of my hair is medium/light blonde, and it looks...bad. In any case, the brittleness can't be too awfully bad because I've gotten plenty of compliments on it being really soft. I'm sure if I didn't put conditioner on it it would get atrocious, though... -Ameria
